CPA: Having a problem getting started

The first section I am taking of the CPA exam is BEC (Business, Environment, and Concepts) on February 22, 2010. It is hard to motivate yourself to study for this exam, or any exam for that matter. I am using various study materials including Gleim, Becker, and Wiley (mostly Wiley).

I have been having a problem getting started with studying for the CPA exam. How do I sit down and study for the CPA exam? I suppose many people just sit down, not thinking about it, and study for endless hours. That would be a good approach, don't worry about study plans, guides, or outlines used to keep you on track. Yes, these plans can be utilized to develop a study plan, but when it comes down to it... you just need to sit down and study. Go through the modules, go to the classes, take notes, learn.

Remember, this is an investment in yourself. The interest you pay on yourself is the time spent learning the material so that one day you may look at people and say, "yeah, I am a CPA."
